Meningitis Awareness

Published November 22, 2010 by Nikita "Soambitious"

On November 10, 2007 my life changed forever. My beautiful sister lost her battle with Meningitis, I had never really heard about this disease until that time. You see the commercials and they always say Meningitis affects infants, preteens, teens and young adults. I found that no matter what age you are this disease can affect you. My sister wasn’t an infant, preteen or teen she was 49 yrs. old. Before losing her life to this disease she lost arms, legs, part of her nose, part of her ears and lips. This disease is something we all should be aware of. This can be prevented by getting a vaccination. To learn more about Meningitis go to The Meningitis Foundation website http://www.nmaus.org you can also listen to my interview with Lynn Bozof of the Foundation at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/soambitious
